Hey
guys -
After
the horrible Tsunami disaster happened in
South East Asia, I was looking for some
way I could help out or make a difference.
I decided to play in the "Serving for
Tsunami Relief" tennis exhibition in
Houston, TX. A bunch of my friends and favorite
players donated their time to play in this
exhibition that benefited Clinton and Bush's
relief fund.
The event was on Janruary 31st, and we had
a great turn out for the exhibition. For
the first time, I met and played with Doctor
Phil McGraw. He turned out to be a very
good player and Clyde Drexler and Chris
Evert were no match for us! We beat them
in my first mixed doubles match, and I am
thinking of making Doctor Phil my new mixed
doubles partner!
I also played a mixed doubles match with
Jon McEnroe against Andy Roddick and Chris
Evert. We wore mics during the match, so
the crowd could hear us crack jokes at each
other. The match was so much fun and the
crowd could not stop laughing! I had a great
time and signed autographs after the match
because I love my fans!!!
Former President Bush and his wife Barbara
attended the event and personally thanked
me for supporting their cause. They are
very nice people, and I was so happy to
be there. Overall, this event raised over
half a million dollars for the Bush-Clinton
Fund making it a big success.
Looking forward to my next charity event!
